During hypnosis, your body relaxes and your conscious mind can take a break. In this state of relaxation, also known as trance, change work is much easier.

You can think of hypnotherapy as a closed-eye process that uses relaxation and visualisation to reprogram your subconscious mind. If you are familiar with breath work or meditation, hypnotherapy will feel very familiar.

Regardless of how deep you go into trance, you are always in control and can return to waking consciousness at any time.

How to prepare

While hypnosis doesn’t require special preparation, it is helpful to be clear about your goals or intentions. I will send you a list of questions to help you with this. Your answers will allow me to serve you best.

If you’re doing the session from home, I recommend:

  • A quiet space, where you won't be interrupted
  • A comfortable chair or sofa, so you can relax
  • Comfortable clothing
